    Esther Bradatsch

During the workshop with Esther Bradatsch you’ll embark on a journey to discover the bounds of your own creativity and the versatile compositional possibilities your instrument and voice have to offer. In five working days we will swing open the doors to the world of jazz and pop music within smaller combos featuring piano, cello, violin, flute and vocals with the main focus being "composing in the moment", i.e., the playful discourse of interpretation and improvisation.

We will work together to use familiar "material" to create something of our own, then briefly slip into the roles of composers by creating complete and entirely unique passages while playing music.

True to the motto "the journey is the destination", music as a universal language will become the focus by experimenting with the song form, the sound, and interacting with each other.

The results of our creative musical journey will be presented during the evening concert on the sixth day of the workshop.

Tuition languages: English, German, Korean and Chinese (interpreters)

The goal of ACMP is to develop a creative, holistic, and intuitive understanding of music as a cultural language. We want that you experience a wide range of knowledge and develop skills that prepare you for studying as you progress in your individual careers in music.

Our reason for choosing Grafenegg is their festival, called Grafenegg Festival, which is a major international classical music festival. The annual festival takes place on the castle ground of Grafenegg. Two venues have been built particularly for the festival in the castle ground: The open-air stage Wolkenturm (capacity 2,100 in total, opened 2007) as well as the new concert hall Auditorium (capacity 1,372, opened 2008). The festival's program consists of symphonic music as well as recitals. There are a lot of international guest orchestras that perform at the festival. The Tonkünstler Orchestra serves as the orchestra in residence.

NOTE:

For the musicians who want to join us as Ensemble Groups we offer you classes in our workshop as well.
